Unboxing the Exclusive Popcorn Buckets for Five Nights at Freddy's 2 (2025)

Prepare yourselves, Freddy Fazbear fanatics! The insatiable hunger for animatronic horror is about to be fed once again. The sequel to Blumhouse's mega-hit Five Nights at Freddy's is looming, and this time, theater chains are pulling out all the stops with some seriously cool collectibles. But are these just clever marketing ploys, or genuine pieces of horror memorabilia that will become prized possessions?

Remember the first Five Nights at Freddy's movie? It wasn't just a hit; it exploded onto the scene, raking in a staggering $295 million and becoming Blumhouse Productions' highest-grossing film ever. It surpassed horror giants like Split, The Invisible Man, The Black Phone, the Halloween sequels, and even the Paranormal Activity, Insidious, and The Purge franchises. This runaway success made a sequel inevitable, and now, it's just around the corner, scheduled to haunt theaters on December 5, 2025.

And what's a trip to the movies without popcorn? This time, major theater chains are offering exclusive Five Nights at Freddy's 2 popcorn buckets and collectibles that are sure to send fans into a frenzy. Get ready to empty your wallets!

Cinemark is going all-in, tempting fans with not one, but three different options: a Freddy popcorn bucket, a stage popcorn bucket, and a popcorn tin. And if that weren't enough, they're also offering a souvenir cup. Talk about a sugar rush and a collectible overload!

Regal Cinemas isn't slacking either. They're offering a "Popcorn Stage Collectible" and their own popcorn tin. Their tweet boasts, "Fantasy and fun come to life with the Popcorn Stage Collectible. Get yours when you see Five Nights at Freddy's 2, coming to Regal December 5 🎤🍿", showing off the new piece of merchandise.

AMC Theatres, however, might just steal the show with their offerings. They're unleashing a Freddy head popcorn bucket... with a removable face! And if that doesn't make you scream (with delight, presumably), they also have a Carl the Cupcake bottle with movable eyes. It's interactive horror!

But here's where it gets controversial... Are these collectibles actually good? Or are they just cheap plastic designed to prey on fans' devotion? Some might argue that they're overpriced and contribute to unnecessary waste. Others will see them as essential pieces of the FNAF universe.

For those who need a reminder of what Freddy is all about, the first film introduced us to a troubled security guard starting his new job at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. He quickly learns that the night shift at Freddy's is anything but easy. Now, Five Nights at Freddy's 2 picks up a year later. The terrifying events at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza have become a twisted local legend, inspiring the town’s first-ever Fazfest. Mike (Josh Hutcherson), the former security guard, and police officer Vanessa (Elizabeth Lail) have tried to shield Mike's younger sister, Abby (Piper Rubio), from the disturbing truth about her animatronic friends. But when Abby sneaks out to reconnect with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, a terrifying chain of events is set in motion, revealing dark secrets about Freddy's origin and unleashing a long-forgotten horror.

The original cast is back for more scares, including Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games), Elizabeth Lail (You), and Piper Rubio (Holly & Ivy), not to mention Matthew Lillard (Scream) and Theodus Crane (Underground). The sequel also welcomes fresh faces like Freddy Carter (Shadow and Bone), Wayne Knight (Jurassic Park), Mckenna Grace (Ghostbusters), Teo Briones (Final Destination: Bloodlines), and, surprisingly, Skeet Ulrich (also from Scream!). The voice cast is equally impressive, with Megan Fox (Jennifer's Body) as Toy Chica, MatPat (of FNAF the Musical fame) as Toy Bonnie, and Kellen Goff reprising his role as Toy Freddy.

And this is the part most people miss... The journey to bring Five Nights at Freddy's to the big screen was a long and winding road. The project initially landed at Warner Bros., with Gil Kenan (Monster House) slated to direct. It then moved to Blumhouse, where Chris Columbus (Home Alone) was attached for several years. Ultimately, Emma Tammi (The Wind) took the helm, working from a screenplay co-written with video game creator Scott Cawthon.

Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is produced by Blumhouse founder and CEO Jason Blum and Scott Cawthon. Emma Tammi, Beatriz Sequeira, Christopher Warner, Russell Binder, and Marc Mostman serve as executive producers. And, crucially, Jim Henson’s Creature Shop is back to bring those terrifying animatronic animals to life.

So, the big question: Will you be braving the animatronic terrors on the big screen this December? And, more importantly, will you be shelling out for a collectible popcorn bucket? Which one is your favorite? Do you think these collectibles are a brilliant way to celebrate the film, or just overpriced plastic preying on dedicated fans?
